Photo Reference – Manila Ghost

Description
“This photo was taken at Eastwood City in Manila through a Nokia 7250, a phone with a camera. These two girls were out for the night and they wanted to have their picture taken. After asking somebody to take their picture, what they saw on the phone’s screen shocked them. A ghostly being was beside the girl in right and it appeared to be holding her arm. FREAKY!

Photo Debunked
Firstly, no flash is used in ths photo. Thus what we see is the light reflecting off objects. Thus unless the objects are very still, and the camera is held firmly, any moment from either the cameraman or the object being taken, will produce a ghostly or double image. This kind of image can easily be made by setting the camera aperture to real slow, like say.. 10 secs. Then the intended ‘Ghost would stand infront of the camera for 5 secs, and then walk away. When developed, it will show a transparent figure.

Here is an example of me, sitting in a car. This photo is developed using the technique I just mentioned.

Photo Reference – Singapore Poly Ghost

Description
“My friend’s brother took this pic at Singapore Poly. After he developed it, he asked wats da gal doin there. The theater behind is not ready yet, still under renovation. To make it more curious, the theater is locked. See it closely guyz. It’s no camera trick or cut n paste. I’ve check the photo myself. It is true…..
PS : The theatre behind is not open yet, so called still under renovation.”

Photo debunked
Singapore Poly do not have uniforms! Besides, so what’s wrong with someone standing behind??!! This is a classic example of how people can attach some kind of story to justify a photo’s ‘Ghost’.

Here is my example. A photo of a wedding dinner in progress. How come there are two kids in pyjamas standing on the stage?

So are these Ghost Kids? The answer? NO.

These are just kids of the Lady Performer, who promptly brought them home after her performance.

Photo Reference – Philippines Buntun Bridge Ghost

Description
I would like to submit the herein attached picture taken by a Cagayano while traversing the Buntun Bridge in Tuguegarao City , Cagayan – the second longest bridge in the Philippines at almost one kilometer in length.

The picture has been passed around in our area for few weeks through cellphones. At dusk, at about six o’clock in the afternoon, while traversing the said bridge, she thought the sunset was beautiful to behold and decided to take a picture of the scenery. However, upon careful scrutiny of the picture she just took, it seems apparent that at least three ghosts were willing models for the pictorial – a man, a woman and a child.

In the beginning, I though of the picture to be a hoax. I carefully examined it for possible anomalies and alterations, but to no avail. I now personally believe it to be a genuine recorded apparition. See for yourself and decide.

Photo debunked
The human figure can easily be debunked. The ‘head’ is actually part of the letter ‘O’, the last alphabet of a word sprayed on the metal that read BADO. That is the Philippine (Tagalog) word for “Clothes”. As for the white background that looked like a shirt (clothes), it is in fact some paint marker, that is present is every other steel pillar in the photo. Our human eyes & imagination created the impression & image of a shirt. The white ‘flash’ is exactly what it is, just a flash refection from the back of the windscreen. This is definitely deliberate prank.

Photo Reference – Singapore Punggol Ghost

Description
“My colleagues’s sister-in-law brother, together with the house agent and a friend, went to a unit at Punggol to view the house. The 3 of them reached at the house at evening time nearing to Maghrib. So the friend whom is interested to purchase the house took shots of all angles of the house using his hp camera. He took the pics so that he could show them to his wife later. After snapping a few angles of the house, he opened the files to view them. And one of the file showed the above. It was taken at an angle to the common toilet @ the kitchen. When he saw this, he quickly asked the other 2 to leave the place with reasons saying that he’s hungry. So they went somewhere and his two friends asked why he asked them to leave the place immediately. He showed them the picture and that was the reason why he wanted to leave that house as soon as possible. So whether he will purchase the unit or not, no news yet.”

Photo debunked
There are too many of these kind of full-bodied apparition flying around in the internet and emails. Perhaps the easiest way is to show how easily it is to create a “ghost”.

Just look at the following sequence and the ‘Punchline’ at the last photo :-

Photo Reference – Malaysia Forest Ghost

Description
The guy in the photo went to the Sundarbans with his friends and he asked 1 of his friends to take his picture in that very place. While his friend was taking the picture he screamed and fainted, 2 days later he died in the medical college. Doctors said he died because of heart attack. When the photos were exposed, in the last photo there was a lady standing right beside him though friends claim that he was standing alone. Many people said it is a rumour and the picture is the result of the blessings of latest technology. However, the photo itself is very scary and I’m sure you’ll also feel the same way I’ve felt. Here you go with the photo!!!

A navy officer sent this letter to 13 people and he was promoted.. A business man received this letter and threw it away, .not believing in it..and he lost everything he had within 13 days. It reached a labourer and he distributed it to 13 people.. He was promoted and all his problems were solved within 13 days.. So you must  send this e mail to 13 people for something good to happen to you so  people..get sending !! 🙂 don’t be lazy..

Photo debunked
This particular photo have made his rounds around the globe. It first originated in Malaysia , when it was highlighted in the Chinese Newspapers.

This is clearly a fake as it was taken from elsewhere. The original photo (above) where the ‘lady’ was taken from is from this photo, in a cinema prop setting.

Photo Reference – Extra Hands?

Description
These two photos showed purportedly an extra hand in each photograph. These are supposedly True Ghost Photos from the Movie “Shutter”, a Thai movie about a photographer who captured strange apparitions with his camera.

What do you think could have caused the extra hand? Ghostly apparition or just poor photography?

Photo debunked
The extra hand is just an effect of slow shutter due to slow exposure time. Most photo are taken within a third of a sec. Our photo was taken in 2 secs.

Coolfun has 3 hands in below photo. The photo here shows a slightly wavy background, due to movement on both Coolfun & cameraman. The photos in the examples are stationery people posing. So a quick movement of hands at the last moment during that slow shutter closing will result in a ‘shadow hand.

Photo Reference – Marina Bay MRT

Description
Hi Charles,

Attached is the pic i am talking about. The pic was taken inside the last bound train at Marina bay some years ago (Photo was taken by negative).

Background of my friends are the MRT wall behind. Opening area was on the opposite side facing them. So how the heck the “Gal” with spec appeared behind the MRT window when it’s a wall?

Take a look at the lower left where the “Gal” stand… there is a Chinese character which I cannot make it up.

Is this real or what????

Photo debunked? Is this a really a photo of a ‘girl’ captured on film?
