30 people night cemetery tour for 4 hours:
“I saw a shadow lurking behind a tree”

Following the season of Ching Ming, FM 100.3 DJ Huang Wen Hong and Yap Li Mei, together with 30 radio kakis, went with Asia Paranormal Investigators (API) to check out Bukit Brown cemetery in the darkness of the night.

For this 3 hr trek, this is the first time for many participants. Yap, in an earlier interview has said that she has already many scary experiences, so she is not afraid, but in fact this time she is the first to encourter weird experience.

This encounter occurs when she was trailing behind the main group, just as about they were to enter the main gates of Bukit Brown. Suddenly, she and 3 other members saw a shadow lurking behind a tree. When they looked again, the shadow suddenly vanished.

FM 100.3 and API paranormal adventure was highly successful and attracted more 30 participants

The participants orderedly went up to bus for Bukit Brown

If one person see the shadow, it is perhaps eye trouble, but if 4 person saw it together, there must be something there.

So the 4 persons immediately quicken their step to join the main group.

In an earlier interview Li Mei revealed that she has at least several paranormal encounters, and she was “sensitive” to these kind of things.

Once when was 18 years old in Cameron Highlands, she saw a male shadow passing through the wall. Another time in a hostel in KL, she heard a voice whispered her name.

Visit to the Biggest Tomb and a Mysterious Old Woman

Led by a mysterious old woman, the API uncovers new discovery.

API Raymond Goh, who lead the tour, together with his brother Charles Goh (founder of API) has succesfully made this tour interesting and enjoyable.

Led by the duo, the participants visited the biggest tomb, the oldest tomb and also the tomb of the rich and famous.

The duo also taught the members how to read and decipher the tombstone inscriptions in an interesting manner.

When they went out for the trek to look for notable graves, the duo revealed that not only they need the assistance of grave caretakers, they also receive help from some unexpected sources, like a mysterious old woman.

For example, only the previous day, they managed to find the grave of Gan Eng Seng. Actually they were about to leave the area and suddenly a mysterious old woman waved to them and told them that there are more graves up the hill. Following the direction she pointed, the duo finally discovered Gan Eng Seng’s tomb.

Happily, the duo went back to thank the old woman, but the woman seem to have vanished.

Wen Hong actually wanted to visit the cemetery in the daytime, but was persuaded by Li Mei to go for the night tour.

“They also know I am a “Pig” and say I am not so lucky this year,” so I decided to wear a Buddhist bangle for protection.

Actually Wen Hong has been to this biggest tomb before, but that was some years ago. At that time, it was still full of creepers, now it looks more beautiful after renovation.

The biggest grave in Singapore – has an area of 10 HDB 3-room flat. When it was re-discovered in 2006, it was still full of creepers. Recently someone pay S$30,000 to renovate the tomb.
