Granting a Dying man’s Last Wish

A man dying of cancer appeals to the Public to help look for a sister he has not seen for 33 years.

The family has lost contact after the Bukit Ho Swee fire that destroyed their homes in the early 60s.

What happens when you apply Myth-busting skills to solving real-life issues…. And API did just that, finding the long lost sister.

We reproduce the english version below, with concluding remarks by Charles Goh, API Founder.

A cancer patient who has about 60 days to live, had his last wish fulfilled, when he was reunited with the sister,”lost” for 33 years.

The patient, Mr Yuan Chi Ann, aged 49, developed lung cancer some 4 years ago. It had reached the end stage of cancer and had not much time left. Last Tuesday, he carried his oxygen tank and equipment and headed for ‘Lian He Wan Bao’ in an ambulance to make an appeal to the press to search for his elder sister, he had not seen for 33 years.

He had 3 last wishes nearing his dying breath.

1. To find his lost sister
2. To look for his lost sister
3. To See his lost sister

On Friday, 3 days after the media’s publication of Mr Yuan’s plight, his 52-year old sister, turned up at Assisi Hospice at 11.10pm.

When his sister, Yuan Chai Ping arrived, his wife, his 72 year old mother and 2nd sister were at his bedside. The meeting was a tearful reunion with mixed emotions of joy and sadness. As emotion took over, Mr Yuan was gasping and needed the aid of oxygen apparatus to help him breathe.

After 2 hours of outpouring emotions, Mr Yuan fell into a peaceful slumber.

As the events unfurled, the Yuan Family left Ipoh, Malaysia for Singapore many years ago. His sister, Chai Ping was left behind with her grandpa. Feeling abandoned, she remained in Ipoh.

Some years after when Chi Ann was selling durians around Beach Road area, his sister turned up and gave him her contact, hoping to maintain link.

As fate would have it, the fateful Bukit Ho Swee fire engaged and destroyed the only contact information he cherished.

When Yuan Chi Ann failed to contact his sister, Chai Ping, she gave up hope of ever seeing her siblings again. She stayed single as a cook in Clementi.

When Charles/Raymond Goh of Asia Paranormal Investigators learnt of the plight of a dying man’s with, they launched a search for Chi Ann missing sister. Their 3 days search brought them to various areas that their intuition led them, including ACRA and ROC, to name a few.

At last, their pursuit paid off. Relieved that a dying man’s wish has been fulfilled.

Suffice to say, the Yuan Family and siblings were grateful to ‘Lian He Wan Bao’ and Charles/Raymond Goh of API to make this reunion possible.

Charles announcement:-

Mr Yuan Chi Ann first appeared in the Wan Bao on
Nov 13, asking for help to locate a sister he had lost for 33 years.

API managed to find the sister and on 23 Nov, Friday, just before midnight, brought the reunion to bear between the long-lost siblings and mother.

Sadly, I have learned that Mr Yuan died on the morning of 27 Nov, 4 days after realising of his dream to meet his lost sister.

He died surrounded by his family, and leave behind 2 children and wife.

During his stay in Assisi Hospice, Mr Yuan was well liked by the hospital staff, and had been outstanding as a father and son.

He had prior chosen his own death photo, 1 taken by his daughter’s mobile phone.

The Yuan family may have lost a son and father…. but have found a sister and daughter.
