Mr Basker, an Indian National staying also at the 2 nd floor, moved in about 3 months ago. He said that just a week upon moving in he heard feet stomping sounds just above his head while he was sleeping. The stomping sounds would occur at intervals, and always sounds as if it was just above his head!

The Informant and his fellow bunkmates had trouble sleeping at night. Many of them experienced being 'pressed' by someone or something at night.

The Informant tries as much as possible not to sleep in that bunk.

A few workers including 2 Malaysian chinese supervisors, 1 sikh security guards all had varying degree of experiences while sleeping there.

Guard
Said he felt presence, hearing metal piling noises when there are no machinery of such work or nature there. Said saw once and describe as a man. Said the current container is built over reclaimed land.

Workers
Mostly the Indians says they heard key rattling, boot stamping noises when there are no one around.

Supervisor
2 Supervisors sleep in same room, but only 1 has been 'pressed down'. This include not just from the top, but on occasion when he is sleeping sideways, also being pushed, with 1 occasion being pushed out from bed.

Permited Disclosure on background of Case:

Mr Chai works as a Supervisor for a construction company. He started on a new project in Changi Airport , involving the upgrading of 1 of the Terminals.

About 1 year ago, he shifted to a temporary quarters near Changi Airport in order that he can have easier access to the worksite.

Mr Chai often wake up and start work at around 5:50am . He only return back to his quarter just after past midnight.

In a double storied container office, Mr Chai stayed on the second floor. He slept in a room together with another Supervisor Mr Yang.

Trouble started about 4 months ago when they created a new partition for their room, as the material placed on the 2nd floor started to grew.

Mr Chai slept on the bed closer to the bed while Mr Yang slept further to the other end of the room.

The container office was also occupied on the same floor by 2 Thailand , 2 Indians and 1 Sikh Security Officer. No one stays at the 1st floor as it was made a storeroom.

Lately Mr Chai had been encountering something he felt wasn't normal, especially after he built up the partition wall.

According to Mr Chai, he said that he was often pressed by an unseen force midway through sleeping. Often he would wake up with eyes just staring in empty air, but with his whole body unable to move, and his shouts could only come out in the smallest of whimper.

Mr Chai also said that the pressing sensation not only occurs as he lie face-up, it couldn't occur when he is lying sideways. He recalls a time when he was allegedly pushed out of the bed to the floor!

c05-001_002Mr Yang did not have any encounter of being pressed by any unseen force, although he remembered on occasion when he could hear a loud sound akin to the strumming of the guitar very close to his ears. On several occasions he also heard keys rattling sound just outside his room door, as if someone has just returned and was searching for keys to unlock the door. But when he opened the door and looked out into the hallway, it was pitch dark with no one insight.
