What lies behind these fences?

API recieved an email telling of tombs that lies somewhere inside the vicinity of Old Thomson road area.

After a day’s search, API stumbled upon many rows of giant crypt-like structures.

The mystery is solved as API found what the crypt actually were used for in the past.

How are exhumation in Singapore usually done?

Well, the National Environmental Agency will first post Notices of its intention to exhume.
.
Then after a period of waiting, the grave would either have been acknowledged by its descendants and exhumed, or if unclaimed, it will be exhumed by the Government.
.
API Raymond found a tomb belonging to the 2nd wife of a once infamous gangster somewhere near Upper Thomson Rd…
.
The strange thing is… it appears to have been robbed of its coffin!

Voodoo grass when dipped in water & exposed to heat, will move continously
Do you believe in Voodo Grass?
.
We all know that plants can move, i.e, towards sunlight, in search of water etc..
.
Some plants’ parts ie., the tendrils of creepers ‘move’ a bit when it comes into contact with water, meaning that capillary actions causes the plant to ‘move’.
.
API found a kind of plant that moves instantenously when it comes into contact with water, appearing more like worms than plant!

The mid-month of September was the ending of the Hungry Ghost Month, but it also heralded the arrival of another well-know strange phenomena in Singapore.

The worship of Spirit Trees. A Monkey Tree, to be specific.

API goes in search of trees with ‘familiar features’ in an attempt to provide an explanation other than ‘other worldly’.

This case has closed, with the ‘hauntings’ attributed to the mischief of the maid

API’s information helped the Employer to clear herself from a later charge by the maid who ran away and reported to MOM on maid mis-use.
